Text to Vector and Mockup in Illustrator
Adobe is slowly implementing more and more Artificial Intelligence features in its product lineup. And so far these feature updates have been incredibly good!
I've already lost count on how many times I've used Photoshop's generative fill! And editors who use Premiere, swear by the new auto transcription and editing features!
So this time around it's Illustrator's turn! The 2024 version of Illustrator has the ability to create vector graphics out of text prompts! It's really wild to see! The results might not be Photoshop level great, but it's still early days. I'm sure things will improve in the coming months.
The good thing is that Adobe has some nice vector optimisation techniques, so we don't end up with splines that have hundreds upon hundreds of points. We do end up with some duplicate or unnecessary shapes, but I think that these issues will be ironed out.
Illustrator's vector artwork creation is not going to blow anyone's mind, but it can still be a good starting point to create your own.
